Aves Cantábricas SL is a business iniciative which is born in Cantabria in November 2005, with the idea of valueing natural resources of the biogeographical region of Cantabria.

Our activities include three basic lines of work:

Training, spreading and interpretation, by educational projects development, carrying out contents for heritage interpretation and advanced courses in environment knowledge.

Promotion of events and Nature tourist products through guided observation in order to promote habitats, as well as peculiar species from the cantabric geography.

Environmental monitoring and Research, collaborating with Academic and Scientific Institutions and carrying out research studies for different Civil Services.

Aves Cantabricas SL has as basic principle: to guarantee that knowing and enjoying of natural resources must not interfere in habitats, biology, flora and fauna behaviour, and therefore must not affect its conservation status.

Among our objectives, we choose:

• Educating in respecting the Nature
• Making progress in the knowledge of cantabric nature.
• Creating specialized tourist products in terms of natural resources.
• Improving a sustainable public use in natural areas
• Increasing the value of natural resources as a touristic lure
• Not making touristic offer a question of season.
• Creating jobs, directly and indirectly, for local people in connection with the natural resources that each area has.
