BIRD MIGRATION FESTIVAL IN CANTABRIA


The Bird Migration Festival in Cantabria is born with the basic objective of showing people, in an especially charming way, the phenomenon of birds’ migration to get more awareness in Nature preservation matter. Furthermore, from a socioeconomic view, the Bird Migration Festival has as main objective, to boost on the general public the importance that natural areas such as Santoña, Victoria and Joyel Marshes Natural Park has for local development.

* 1st BIRD MIGRATION FESTIVAL IN CANTABRIA Celebrated in Santoña, on September, 21st, 22nd and 23rd 2007. Among all the activities we had, we must emphasize on the talks, Bird-watching Marathon, Nature photographs competition, birds observation posts, trips with the schooner “Cantabria Infinita” Welcome Act to Spoonbills, etc. Roughly 500 people joined us

 

 

* 2nd BIRD MIGRATION FESTIVAL IN CANTABRIA The second edition of the Festival was in Santoña, on September 19th, 20th and 21st 2008. Among the activities we had, we must emphasize in this edition on the newness of the street show “CICLO”, directed by the cantabrian artist Nacho Fernández. Furthermore, we had two talks, 2nd Bird-Watching Marathon, Nature photographs competition, birds observation posts, trips with the schooner “Cantabria Infinita”, Welcome Act to Spoonbills, etc. Roughly 1.500 people joined us.
